1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FireNumber ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
FireNumber is a personal financial planning and projection tool. It allows users to model hypothetical financial scenarios, project account balances over time, and interact with an AI assistant to explore financial questions. The Service is intended for informational and educational purposes only.
3. Not Financial Advice
FireNumber does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All projections and outputs are hypothetical estimates based on the assumptions you provide. They should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any financial decision. Please consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions.
4. User Accounts
You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. User Data
You retain ownership of any financial data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant FireNumber a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
6. Payments & Credits
Credit packs are purchased via Stripe and added to your account immediately upon successful payment. All sales are final — we do not offer refunds as a matter of course. However, if you believe a charge was made in error (for example, a duplicate purchase or a technical failure), please contact us and we will refund or credit your account. Credits do not expire and carry over indefinitely as long as your account remains active. Active access begins at scenario activation and expires 5 calendar days later, regardless of use frequency. If you close your account voluntarily, unused credits will be forfeited. If FireNumber terminates your account for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, we will refund the pro-rated value of any unused purchased credits. To request account deletion, use the feedback form within the app — we will process your request within 30 days. During the beta period, we may at our discretion grant additional complimentary credits to users; such grants do not constitute a recurring obligation.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data; (c) reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service; (d) use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are the exclusive property of FireNumber and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FireNumber shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.
11. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with FireNumber, we encourage you to first contact us directly at firenumber.admin@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration or in the small claims court of British Columbia, Canada, at your election. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the right to participate in class proceedings.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia for any disputes not resolved under Section 11.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
